My approach to wedding photography is simple. I aim to capture your day as honestly and authentically as possible. Whether your style leans toward pure editorial, candid reportage, or a natural blend of both, I adapt to your vision. If you are looking for cookie cutter, conveyor belt portraits, I am probably not the right photographer. But if you value real moments, quiet details, and storytelling that feels true, we will be a great match.
I have always been drawn to realism and the small, fleeting moments others often miss. That focus began in high school, thanks to my art teacher, Spies Venter, who first sparked my passion for photography. I later went on to study professional photography, specialising in photojournalism and portraiture.
A significant part of my growth came through working with my mentor, Gavin Casey, who opened the door to the wedding industry for me. His creativity and insight shaped my craft in profound ways, and together we photographed some of South Africaās most beautiful weddings. Those experiences deepened both my skill and my love for this work.
Before weddings became my primary focus, I built my career photographing high profile events, intimate portraits, and the occasional wedding. But weddings were always the goal. To do them well, I deliberately pushed myself into the most demanding shooting environments possible. Those years gave me a deep foundation in real world documentary photography, experience I now bring to every wedding I photograph.
Along the way, I have been fortunate to collaborate with some of the most talented creatives in the world. I am always looking for the next opportunity to grow, learn, and elevate the experience I offer my couples.
